1. Man Sues Wife For Being Too Ugly
Jian Feng and his wife had a rather ugly baby girl, and Feng didn't understand how two good-looking people could have ugly babies. So he sued his wife for cheating on him. But to prove her fidelity, Feng's wife showed him a picture of herself before she had extensive facial plastic surgery. Feng freaked out, divorced her, and sued her for deception. He won $120,000.

2. Man Sues Michael Jordan Because He Looks Like Michael Jordan
In 2006, Oregon man Allen Heckard had a unique problem: people constantly told him he looked like basketball star Michael Jordan. Except Heckard saw it a bit differently: he thought that Michael Jordan looked like him. Naturally, he decided to sue Jordan and Nike for $832 million for his "emotional pain and suffering."
3. Student Sues Teacher For Waking Him Up In Class
15-year-old Vinicios Robacher fell asleep in class in 2008, and his teacher (Melissa Nadeau) woke him up by slamming her hand down on his desk. But Robacher alleged that when Nadeau woke him from his slumber too aggressively, and he suffered "very severe injuries to his left eardrum." Not much is known about whether or not he received proper compensation for his suffering.

4. Man Sues Dry Cleaners For Losing His Pants
In 2007, Roy Pearson dropped off a pair of pants he wanted dry cleaned at Custom Cleaners near Washington D.C. When he went back to pick them up, the owners told him his pants had been lost. Pearson sued Custom Cleaners for $54 million for "mental suffering, inconvenience and discomfort."

5. Man Sues Pepsi For Not Giving Him A Jet In Exchange For Pepsi Points
In 1996, Pepsi had a commercial that encouraged people to drink the soda so they could collect points and trade them in for merchandise. John Leonard wanted the Harrier jet the commercial said was worth 7 million points, so he bought points from PepsiCo for 10 cents each and mailed a check for $700,008.50 (the $8.50 was for shipping) to the company. Pepsi wasn't prepared to give Leonard a jet, so he sued for breach of contract, fraud, and misleading advertising.

6. Kid Sues School For An A+
Brian Delekta got an A+ during a work experience class he took at his mom's legal office in 2003. But the school put an A on his transcript because they didn't give out A+'s. Delekta worried the A would prevent him from being valedictorian, so he sued the Memphis Community School District for $25,000. He also demanded he get an A+, and for a "restraining order" against class rankings.

7. Woman Sues Google Maps For Bad Directions
On a walk in 2010, Lauren Rosenberg's Google Maps directions told her to go half a mile down Deer Valley Drive in Park City, Utah (a.k.a. Utah State Route 224). Even though there were no sidewalks (as it was a highway), Lauren kept walking...until she was struck by a car. She sued Google for $100,000 for the directions being "unreasonable" and "unsafe."

8. Senator Sues God Over Natural Disasters
Nebraska Senator Ernie Chambers sued God in 2007 for too many natural disasters. He asked for a "permanent injunction ordering Defendant (God) to cease certain harmful activities and the making of terroristic threats." Ernie's suit named the "harmful activities" as "fearsome floods, egregious earthquakes, horrendous hurricanes, terrifying tornados, and pestilential plagues..."

9. Man Sues Library For His Dog's Dignity
In November of 2000, a man and his dog went to a library in San Marcos California and an altercation broke out - between his dog and the library's resident cat. Naturally, the cat won, and the man sued for $1.5 million. He filed not because a little kitten beat up his 50-pound lab mix, but because of the emotional trauma he suffered by seeing the altercation. The case was thrown out. A resident cat? Dogs visiting libraries? Sometimes it's best to just leave our precious pets at home.

10. Man Sues NBC For Being Too Gross
Austin Aitken hoped NBC would pay him $2.5 million in 2005 for making him vomit. Aitken said he watched several contestants eat rats during an episode of "Fear Factor," which he said was degrading to participants and viewers. He alleged that after watching the stunt, he was so grossed out that he crashed into the doorway to his room and suffered "injury and great pain."
