New shocking footage of Japan's 2011 mega-tsunami

Even two and a half years later, the power of the earthquake and tsunami that hit Japan in March 2011, killing thousands and crippling the Fukushima nuclear power plant, can still shock. This new previously unreleased footage give us a very small idea of what it must have been liked to be there.

The awesome power of nature must never be underestimated, and while earthquakes, like many other natural disasters, are out of our control, we do control how prepared we are for them. This will be especially important if on top of the 'regular' natural disasters we start seeing more caused by climate change (droughts, stronger hurricanes, certain diseases migrating to high latitudes, invasive species, etc).
