It was another exciting week in tech, with lots of cutting-edge, inspiring innovations and a double dose of great gadgets.
We got our hands on the cheapest tablet on the market, but is it world-changing? We also had a chance to review the astounding Samsung Galaxy Camera, which is poised to change the market of point-and-shoot cameras forever. According to our tech channel editor Pete Pachal, the Galaxy Camera “is just an incredible device.”
But this week was characterized especially by unusual inventions, like a smart baby sock that alerts parents if the kid stops breathing, or a retina implant that turns text into Braille in an instant. There’s even a ground-breaking project that turns a light bulb into an augmented reality system.
Meanwhile, our senior tech analyst Christina Warren wrapped up her “Living with Lumia” experiment, sharing her impressions of Nokia’s Windows 8 Phone.
