One-third of all visible light is blue light, which is made up of shorter wavelengths that emit a higher energy levels than other visible light. It is this light that people are increasingly exposed to via everyday technology, such as computers, smartphones, televisions, and lights. And it is exposure, or overexposure, to blue light that has been shown to cause such health problems as digital eye strain and sleep disruption.
