Top 10 Tech This Week (02/16/2013)
By Lorenzo Franceschi-Bicchierai,
Mashable, 16 February 2013.

If was certainly a huge week in tech - so big we almost wished we had a Top 20 instead of a Top 10. Not only did we have our usual slew of gadgets and techno-news, we also had a big controversy around a certain electric car, a heart-warming 3D-printing story and a juicy (or not?) Apple rumour.

The big controversy of the week stemmed from a New York Times review of the electric Tesla Model S which criticized the car's battery performance. Elon Musk, Tesla's founder, not only didn't like it, but he revealed that he had the logs and data to prove the journalist lied. Controversy and a media frenzy ensued.

In other, more heart-warming news, we learned of a little kid who got the help of a 3D-printed robohand to gain the ability to use his right hand.

We also had some exciting traditional tech stories, like the first leaks of the new HTC flagship smartphone, rumours of a mysterious Apple iWatch, and we got our hands on a tiny robot fish.

Take a look at our Top 10 Tech This Week to see what other great stories happened this week in the world of technology…
