10. Acqua Liana
This 15,000 square foot Florida mansion was designed by the famous artist Frank McKinney with the sole purpose of providing luxury in an eco-friendly manner. The mansion boasts seven bedrooms, 11 bathrooms, floating sun terraces, a waterfall spa with an under-water fire feature and an aquarium wet bar. The compound’s solar panels can generate enough energy for two average size homes, while the mansion’s electricity consumption has been reduced by 70 percent thanks to environmental conscious lighting.
The mansion also features glass water floors, tiles that illuminate with Monet-inspired paintings, water gardens, a lounge, a pool, and a grass driveway. Frank McKinney’s creative juices were probably at an all-time high when he designed this place.

The world’s most expensive residence is home to the richest man in India, Mukesh Ambani. The Mumbai mansion resembles a skyscraper and consists of 27 stories, six of which are for parking alone. There’s over 400,000 square feet of living space available, and it’s filled with all the amenities money can buy - terraced gardens, snack bars, gyms, swimming pools and a yoga studio.
There are three helipads available if one needs to make a grand entrance. The lobby has nine elevators which can take you to the ball room or the 50 seat movie theatre. Built in 1896, the mansion is perfect for people looking to revisit the classic designs of yesteryear. The entire mansion is simply a work of art, with hand carved fireplaces and intricate ceilings. There’s also a 75 foot heated pool, a tennis court and even a clock tower. The various courtyards and flourishing apple orchards also contribute to the property’s steep evaluation.

Say what you will about Donald Trump, but he knows how to live well. The billionaire once owned the keys to this luxurious Floridian home, and he enjoyed many memorable years there. The 80,000 square foot mansion includes bulletproof windows and an 80 car garage that gives you options if you ever need to make a quick getaway.
There are several tennis courts and guest houses, and a 100-foot swimming pool. The mansion itself has 15 bedrooms and and a staggering 20 bathrooms - an entire soccer team could privately bathe at the same time. The current occupant is Russian billionaire Dmitry Rybolovlev, who bought the house from Trump in 2008.
3. The Penthouse
The Penthouse is valued at US$200 million, mostly because of its exquisite location. Even our houses would be worth millions if they were situated in London’s famous number one Hyde Park address. Of course, our homes don’t come with SAS-trained bodyguards, bulletproof windows, iris scanners and panic rooms. In case of emergencies, occupants also have access to a secret tunnel that leads to the nearby Mandarin Hotel. It sounds like a home from a James Bond movie.
When you’re rich enough to afford the penthouse, you also get access to 24-hour room service. In order to replenish one’s energy levels, the occupants of the penthouse use the communal spas. And when they want to exercise, a squash court is readily available. The apartment consists of two floors and is the perfect getaway residence for the rich and famous.
2. The Playboy Mansion
How can we talk about luxury homes and not mention the Playboy Mansion? Home to Playboy founder Hugh Hefner, the mansion is situated in Beverly Hills and is by far the most famous in the world. The 5.3 acre, 22 room home boasts a wine cellar, a game room (home to arcade games, pinball machines and a jukebox), a waterfall, a swimming pool, and even a zoo and an aviary. Then there are the tennis courts, the grotto, the sauna and the bathhouse.
While it’s commonly believed that the Playboy Mansion is owned by Hugh Hefner, that’s technically not true - the place is owned by Playboy, and Hefner is just a paying guest. We doubt it’s straining his budget.

Updown Court, located in Windlesham, England, is second to none in terms of luxury. Calling the 58 acre mansion massive is an understatement - it has an astounding 103 rooms. There’s a 50 seat theatre, a bowling alley, and squash and tennis courts. The heated marble driveway leads to a garage that can fit eight limousines, though if you’d prefer you can land your helicopter on the helipad. There are also five swimming pools, because we all know how boring life can get with just four.
