It was another exciting week in tech. If you missed it, worry not - that's why we're here with out Top 10 Tech.
The biggest news this week was perhaps Google's announcement to bring the vaunted and speedy Google Fiber network to Austin, the third city in the United States that will receive the 1-gigabit fibre network. It was such a big announcement that AT&T felt compelled to publish a press release announcing its own fibre network in Austin, although it's not clear if it's just a bluff or a stunt to steal Google's thunder.
In the "cell phones are getting bigger" news department, Samsung announced what is the biggest smartphone yet, the gigantic 6.3-inch Galaxy Mega. Meanwhile, tablets are getting smaller. Rumours this week indicated that Microsoft plans to shrink the Surface to 7 inches.
As for news from around the world, Japanese students have developed a "girlfriend coat" that hugs people in need of some love. And in India, students have built a more useful invention: anti-rape underwear.
Oh, and the Navy announced it's finally going to mount a laser weapon on a ship - a gun that can shoot down drones.
